Many questions can be answered on our Chimera Labs site. Because we're
a small company, we need to limit our time answering emails
otherwise we would never be able to keep up with orders. We
try hard to keep this site easy and informative and continually
update it to make your audio experience with us a rewarding
one.
Many answers about older gear and
projects including wire braiding instructions can be found
on our DIY pages.
Many tubes and audio wire questions can be
answered on our FAQ pages.
Our Review
pages contain a lot of information on our wires and interconnects.
Our Tube
List contains our most up to date list with quantities
and condition listed by each tube. We
also have Performance
info on many tubes based on our listing experience.
If you don't see the tube you're looking for chances are we
don't have it. We continually update our list so check often.
We're planning to make a request list so you can request a
tube type and when we obtain them you'll immediately be notified.
When sending requests about your order please
include your order number.
All my cable products come with a Money Back Guarantee, if you feel my cables do not offer superior performance in your Audio System, simply ship them back in the original packaging and I will refund the purchase price including both the initial and return shipping cost.
All my cables are made to order. The time it takes to make and ship your cables will depend on my order backlog. Since my cables are made to order, you are not restricted to the lengths listed on the price sheets. You can order the optimum length required for your application.
If you wish to receive and order quote, please include your full mailing address so I can include the shipping cost in the quote.
My cables are shipped via insured USPS Priority International of Domestic Mail.
For the maximum sound performance, it is important that cables do not rest on the floor, shelves or equipment. They should not touch walls, shelves, power cords or other cables.
The best speaker cable stand offs are to use the inexpensive Styrofoam half balls or bells sold by floral and craft shops. Use a dowel or rod slightly larger than the speaker cables diameter to press a groove on the top surface of the standoff. You can also use a razor knife to cut a V shaped groove or a rat tail file to make the groove.
To make sure my customers have enough time to break in my cables, they have 90 days from the date they receive them to evaluate their performance. I attach a word file of the break in process and the four phases of sound performance the cables go through with every order quote.
I offer a volume discount to customers. If you purchase 2 pairs of cables the discount is 5%, three pairs 10% and four or more pairs is 15%. In the case of single digital cables, two Digital Cables are required to count as pair for discounts.
Many of my customers purchase a single pair of cables to evaluate their sound performance and then order additional cables for their system. For this reason I offer a 90 day discount window for them to have their initial cable order count towards a discount.
I use different colored input sleeves on my cables to identify the position of the cables in an audio system. This make sure those customers, with more than one pair of the same type and length of cables, can install in the correct position in their audio system. Please include the application information in your e-mail reply to my order quote.

Normally I supply the speaker cables with OFC Copper Spade Lugs for Binding Posts with a ¼” diameter shaft. I can provide different diameter spade lugs or banana plugs. .
I need to know some information about your amplifier and speakers binding post orientation. Face the rear of your amplifier and tell me the position of the positive (Red) and negative (Black) posts for each channel. Are they right or left, horizontal or vertical?
Then face the rear of your Loudspeakers and tell me the same information. The established standard is positioning the binding post in a horizontal position with the positive on the right, but many manufacturers deviate from this.
If you have a question on the optimum braid for your speakers send me an email and include the cable length required and the sensitivity of your speakers.
If all else fails please contact us by email. We will answer
your questions as soon as possible. ~Dennis Boyle
